Members are required to acquire Continuing Education credits to maintain active membership with the Academy.
15 CE credits must acquired related to financial matters, involving:
- personal finance, education, estate planning, retirement, insurance, business, support, legal, etc.
Members must also acquire 5 CE credits in regards to separation and divorce, such as:
- mediation training, or
- completing the AFDS Materials Review Course, or
- other training specific to separation and divorce
Proof: AFDS requires proof of credentials and CE credits in order to renew. Please note, the Academy reserves the right to audit its members at a later date.The type of proof that is accepted by the Academy includes: a current certificate, proof of completion or final grade, or letter from an authorizing body that proves you are in good standing with respect to the credentials or have earned the required continuing education credits.When uploading proof, please note the following file formats are accepted: .jpg, jpeg, jpe, gif, png, bmp, tiff, tif, pdf.
